  1. I like this a lot. It's so cool how 3 dimensional you made this look. The only thing i might suggest and you can take it or leave it, but maybe make the handle bars look like they are rounder.....but whatever, Great job! :-)

  2. Way fun, Emily. I really like your control of color and the great harmony you get in this piece because of it. I had a question, not a crit, about the two "sunbursts" in the sky, but I think they strengthen the composition. The stripes on her shirt feel a little weird to me. I can't tell if it's because my mind is fighting between the stripes and the figure or if her left arm is a little short and it's not the stripes at all. They repeat the dark of her hair and eye lashes, which is great. So I'm not sure what it is about them that isn't sitting with me. Another thing I like is the combination of angular shapes and curved shapes in her(which is actually repeated in the city scape too, cool). I do think that her hands could be a great opportunity to repeat the soft, rounder lines that you've described her face with. I think it would help your great character be a little more harmonized; more angular(sassy) clothes, more curved(sweet) in the expressive details of the figure.

You know, it's really hard to know if you should keep explaining what you're trying to say in a critique when you can't see the person's face to tell you, "Yes, I'm listening, good, keep going," or,"Yeah right, you should stop talking now." But, I better get used to it because soon I wont have the luxury of ANY face to face, peer to peer critiques. **sings like a pirate** "A bloggers life for me!" :)
